In this video raw chef Dan shows us how to make basic flax crackers. You can grind the flax to get flax meal or use the whole flax seeds. Dan uses a dehydrator for the flax crackers. I make flax crackers in a normal oven at about 150 degrees Fahrenheit (65 degrees Celcius), with a wooden spoon between the door of the oven and the oven for circulation. I have a simple kitchen thermometer in the oven to monitor the temperature. This works great.
These flax crackers are a great substitute for bread in the raw food diet. You can eat hem with for instance salads, raw soups, raw nutpaté, raw nutbutters, avocado, tahini or honey. These flax crackers are very nourishing.
Enjoy!
