Grains and Beans in the Raw Food Diet - Gabriel Cousens

Some people do very well, if they start with a 100% raw food diet right away. For others it may be better to start more slowly. A balance of 80% raw food and 20% other foods is ideal for those people. What should those 20% be, if not raw foods like fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, seaweeds, wild edibles etc.

In this interview Annet van Dorsser (www.RawFood.nl) asks Gabriel Cousens what he thinks about adding grains and beans to a raw food diet. Watch this video on how to transition to a raw food diet in the most ideal way.

Viktoras Kulvinskas on childhood diseases, tonsillitis and cancer

Children naturally reject cooked food, they spit it out in the beginning. Parents make them eat it anyway. Their body starts to reject it by diarrhea and for instance tonsillitis.

Cancer works in a similar way. The body initially can handle the incompletely metabolized protein from cooked food by making cancer cells. But if you keep stressing your body with these incompletely metabolized proteins over a longer time and don't remove the cause of the cancer cells, no medical treatment will help at the end.

Many people all over the world were able to reverse their cancer by eating raw organic whole foods. Watch their testimonials all over the internet.

Brian Clement - Why do many raw vegans look so bad?

Many raw vegan look very skinny and unhealthy. Why?

Either they are very sick and that's why they eat raw food or they are too cerebral and think that by just eating raw food their complete world will turn around and they will be completely healthy.

There is more to health than just diet: exercise, sun, fun. The proper, living organic food is only the fuel. Grow beyond that and have a life: have some fun, use your brain, get a spiritual existence, get to that fulfillment and contribute.

Exercise to get a strong and healthy body. You can start now … or in case you don’t like to exercise …. listen to this audio.

David Rainoshek's BioDiesel Truck runs on used vegetable oil

David Rainoshek's Biodiesel Truck runs on SVO (Straight Vegetable Oil) and WVO (Waste Vegetable Oil). A very good and economic solution for diesel cars, if it's not too cold outside. The car runs 1000 miles on a gallon of diesel, that he needs to start the engine and to put diesel back into the fuel system at the end of the day.

The smell is like that of a Chinese or Asian kitchen. So maybe a little cinnamon oil will do wonders. Can you imagine, a raw foodist who promotes juice feasting in a car with the smell of used oil. A good way to get the attention ;-)

Reishi Mushroom - Ganoderma Lucidum - Ling Zhi

This video about the Reishi mushroom is made at the Raw Spirit Festival 2008.

The Reishi mushroom has been used in Chinese medicine since hundreds of years to boost the immune system, support cardiovascular health and reduce the risks of cancer. It was recommended for the stomach and intestines, for nutritional deficiencies, and to reduce blood sugar levels.

The Reishi mushroom is also known for its powerful spirit-liberating properties. It is depicted in ancient scroll paintings as a 'bridge between Earth and Heaven'. Reishi, and other 'advanced fungals' are thought to be extra-terrestrial. That is, they are thought by mycologists to have originated in other solar systems.

For more info about the Reishi mushroom read http://www.shamanshack.info/id6.html.

Cell phones are a serious treat to our health

TV Interview with Dr. George Carlo (Campbell Live, TV3)

In 1993, when the cell phone industry's chief lobbyist hired epidemiologist and pathologist Carlo to refute claims that cell phones, which had never been subjected to premarket testing, cause cancer, no one thought he would discover otherwise. But after six years of exhaustive analysis and scrupulous peer review, the results proved, according to this report, that radiation from a cell phone's antenna can cause the formation of micronuclei red flags for cancer in the brain. Children in particular are more susceptible to the radiation than adults. Carlo reported his findings to the industry and the FDA and advocated for continued research, but both parties still maintain that cell phones are safe.

The research is not conclusive, but Carlo and Schram think it's disturbing enough to warrant government action. Needless to say, the industry that once backed Carlo's work now considers him persona non grata.

The production of commercial wheatgrass

In this video you can see how commercial wheatgrass is grown.

When you do grow wheatgrass at home, make sure it doesn't get moldy.
I think growing your own wheatgrass with real sunlight, on real soil and fresh air is always better, as long as it is free from bacterial and fungal contamination.

Commercial wheatgrass is always handy to have at hand when you are traveling or if you don't have time to grow your own. It's better to take the commercial version than none at all, since wheatgrass contains so many valuable nutrients.

Simply Raw: watch the absolutely best film on diabetes ever made

Did you know that there is a cure for diabetes. That you, your friends or your family don’t have to suffer anymore.
Diabetes is one of the biggest threats to our health nowadays. More and more people are victim of this terrible disease, that shortens life and comes with all kind of nasty side effects.
The good news: this disease can be healed without too much effort. It’s just a matter of knowing what to do.

The team of “Simply Raw: Reversing Diabetes in 30 Days” made a fantastic film on diabetes, it’s causes and the way to cure it. In 30 days people with serious diabetes type 2 conditions were cured. Even diabetes 1 reacted very well.

If you have any doubt if a raw food diet is healthy or if it’s worthwhile to change you eating habits, don’t miss this movie. It’s the most convincing movie on raw food ever made. Even if you don’t have diabetes, you can benefit greatly from this mind blowing movie.

Do you want to know all the details? Click on the picture below.
Yes .... there is a natural cure for diabetes.

Is it okay to add grains to your raw food diet?

This is one of my favorite questions, having a macrobiotic and raw food background since 1972.
Being honest, I personally feel better if I add some cooked grains to my raw food diet.
And …. I’m not the only one. At the leading raw food communities, the Tree of Life in Arizona and Israel and the Hippocrates Institute in Florida, there are some grains on the menu.

There are two ways in which you can eat grains.
Of course you can sprout them or grow wheat- or barley grass and eat them raw. This way you can add grains to your diet and still eat 100% raw.
Another way is to add some cooked non-stored grains, like wild rice, quinoa, buckwheat, millet and amaranth to your diet. Even diabetes patients do well on these grains. You can cook the grains for about 15 minutes and eat them with a raw (for instance tomato) sauce, use them in a salad, in desserts or as a breakfast cereal.

If you do want to eat grains, the ones mentioned above are best. Stored grains like wheat, rye, oats and barley ferment in ninety days. Within that time mycotoxins are formed, toxins produced by an organism of the fungus kingdom, which includes mushrooms, molds and yeasts. These are a hazard to our health. Research has shown a correlation between different forms of cancer and mycotoxins.
For more information about this, you can read Gabriel Cousens book “Rainbow Green Live-Food Cuisine”, page 17-23.

If you do want to eat some grains, feel how your body reacts. Too much of them may cause too much acidity and make you feel tired and heavy. Always add good quality salt if you cook grains. This makes them more alkaline. Find your ideal balance.
In some cases it’s better to add cooked grains to your diet, than to eat too much of the sweet fruits, like mango or banana or a lot of nuts for the sake of your caloric intake.

So far I found that many long term vegetarians and raw foodies lack minerals, vitamin B12 and are undernourished in general. Adding some non-stored cooked grains might be very helpful in those cases.

Please leave your comment below and let me know, if you have any experience adding cooked grains to your raw food diet and what your opinion is.

Gabriel Cousens on Renegade Health: Natural Cure for Diabetes

Gabriel Cousens and his team at the "Tree of Life" are able to cure over 90% of diabetes type 2 patients.
Watch this interesting video, in which Gabriel Cousens explains the causes of diabetes and its treatment.
His concept of the culture of life and the culture of death is a very interesting one.

Kevin Gianni's question on RenegadeHealth.com

What do you think about the culture of “death” that Gabriel talks about?

My answer:

Very often I’ve heard Gabriel speak about the culture of life and the culture of death.
This week my son and I did an experiment. After not eating any meat for years, we ate out and had some lamb. Yes I know, shocking for a raw food teacher ;-)
I wanted to feel the effect. And I can say: it was enormous.

Normally, on my raw food diet, I always feel very happy. Everything works out fine and I trust the universe for what is happening.
After the meat both me and my son felt off track. This was especially clear in our dreams. My son had all kind of dreams in which everything was out of control. In my dreams I was worrying all the time, which was useless and absolutely unnecessary. The next day we had some kind of a hangover.
After eating lots of greens, some superfoods and drinking lots of good quality water we felt better.

For me the whole experience was so clear: the lamb couldn’t control what was going on in its life and of course it was worrying. Probably it saw other lambs being slaughtered. I´ve even heard that lambs cry, when they are slaughtered. In this state, with lots of adrenalin in its body, it died. This energy is what we take on if we eat this meat. This experience of the culture of death was so clear to me. Negative emotions were coming out of the blue after eating the meat: the culture of death.

Now I understand even better why a vegan diet can cure depressions and other psychological problems.
On a vegan diet consisting of fresh plant food, I always feel happy and connected: the culture of life.

On my this blog you can find many more video’s about diabetes and part of our video interviews with Gabriel Cousens.

The benefits of green tea for heart disease, diabetes and weightloss

Dina Khader on the health benefits of green tea

The health benefits of green tea come from the anti-oxidants it contains. It helps to prevent heart disease, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes and is great for weight loss. Green tea suppresses appetite.

Green tea also has a thermogenic effect. It raises the body temperature and therefore you burn more calories if you drink it regularly. It’s a great addition to any weight loss program.

The best way to brew green tea is to have the water just under boiling. This way you release the most anti-oxidants. Dump the tea bag into the water. The less time you let the bag steep, the less caffeine you get. If you are sensitive to caffeine, let it steep less than 3 minutes. If you boil the water, you get more caffeine in your tea.

Buy certified organic green tea in unbleached teabags. The commercial green teas are heavily sprayed with herbicides and pesticides, which can’t be removed.

For the latest research on green tea in Dutch read

Raw chocolate protects the skin against sunlight and doubles hydration

Dr. Steven Pratt on dark chocolate:
One portion of the superfood raw chocolate helps to protect your skin against the sunlight and doubles the blood flow to the skin and therefore the hydration. Raw chocolate is a great beauty product.

You can also use the raw cacao butter on your skin as a natural cosmetic. In women raw cacao butter works as an aphrodisiac when used externally.

Gabriel Cousens M.D. in “Simply raw: reversing diabetes in 30 days”

The top 3 factors which contribute to diabetes are:
- Foods which convert to sugar. Twenty years after you introduce white sugar or white flour into a society, you get an outbreak of diabetes. Fructose is the worst. White flour contains oxalic acid which is a poison to the beta cells of the pancreas. Wheat can increase insulin resistance.
- Animal fats from (cooked) animal food like meat and dairy.
- Toxins, like herbicides, pesticides and heavy metals have their effects as well. Mercury poisons the beta cells of the pancreas and deactivates insulin. Fluorine causes insulin resistance. Cadmium affects the kidneys and causes insulin resistance. Lead causes insulin resistance. Arsenic causes hormonal disruptions which also causes insulin resistance.

Other factors which contribute to insulin resistance are smoking and caffeine. Each of them increases insulin resistance with 30%.

Through juice fasting Gabriel Cousens learned that you can turn on and off the diabetic switch. Once you have a normal blood sugar level through juice fasting on green juice and a live-food diet, you have to keep the blood sugar down for a longer time to give the organs a chance to cure. The diet that Gabriel Cousens recommend is organic, vegan, 80% live food.
Exercise and losing weight are also very important factors to cure type 2 diabetes.

Alzheimer is associated with diabetes. Curing the diabetes will also help to clear up the confused mental state that some diabetes patients are in. By curing diabetes you can also prevent and cure the terrible side effects of diabetes, like neuropathy and impotence.

Gabriel Cousens and Neal Barnard cure diabetes with a (raw) vegan diet

Diabetes is one of the main heath concerns in our modern society. In countries where people eat hardly any meat, sugar and white flour, there is no diabetes.

Neal Barnard M.D. and Gabriel Cousens M.D. cure diabetes with a vegan diet. Neal Barnard with mainly cooked food, Gabriel Cousens with mainly raw food. They both have success: their patients loose excess weight, their bloodsugar turns normal, as well as their cholesterol and blood pressure.

Gabriel Cousens even cured a patient with type 1 diabetes, who paticipated by accident in his program. This patient was totally cured and doesn't use insulin anymore.

Watch this video with Gabriel Cousens if you don't like vegetables

Gabriel Cousens discusses the effect of bloodsugar on your brain and thinking.
Don't eat sugar, it makes your thinking chaotic. Eat a lot of green vegetables instead.

But what if you don't like vegetables?
Most people are guided by their taste, which is in the mind.
It's not about taste, but about results. If you eat vegetables you become stronger, smarter, clearer and you will understand society better. This is what counts.

So if you don't like vegetables ... learn to enjoy them because they make you healthier, more aware and brighter!

Popping popcorn kernels by the radiation of your cell phone

Yes, the radiation of your cell phone is very bad for you. Children under 16 who use their cell phone up to one hour a day have 37 times more chance to get brain cancer in their twenties.
But would this be possible??? This video is made by a manufacturer of blue tooth headsets. Great video. I hope my brains don't pop out, since I don't have their headset yet.

Sun gazing, Hira Ratan Manek on the healing power of the sun

Hira Ratan Manek (HRM) teaches sun gazing, how we can live on just the energy of sunlight and water. He has eaten solid food just five to seven times in the last 10 years. He once fasted under 24-hour medical supervision for more than 200 consecutive days.

Sun gazing is an ancient practice found in all cultures. It activates the dormant human brain. The infinite resources within us get activated. Save sunlight reaches the brain through the eyes and the brain's effectiveness is raised. The practitioner cures all his problems and gets total health for mind, body and spirit.

If you want to start sun gazing, study it carefully. If the sunlight is too bright you might damage your eyes. The save hours are the first hour after sunrise en the last hour before sunset.

Raw foodie Jason Mraz promotes "We sing, we dance, we steal things"

Raw foodie Jason Mraz promotes his new album "We sing, we dance, we steal things", which came out today. Jason wrote this new album at his avocado farm in the San Francisco area.

Except for being an artist, Jason is a raw foodie. For this interview he brought a fantastic guacamole and chocemole (a raw chocolate mousse) to the studio. The main ingredient of both dishes is of course …. avocado. They look delicious.

Jason Mraz latest single became a hit before he even released it. Listen to the single “I’m yours”.

Mraz's Chocomole Recipe:

Note: This will make a huge bowl big enough for a family of four.
You'll want to share this with friends.

Mash up 5 ripened avocados
Add 1 - 2 cups of chopped or blended dates
1 soft cup of raw cacao
1 easy cup of raw carob powder
1 tbsp. vanilla
Add a few long pours of agave nectar to sweeten to liking
Then add half cups of cocoa and keep adding until chocolate taste is right.
Careful not to overdo it -- if you add too much, it can get bitter.

Alkaline water with a low ORP - Watch this almond test!

Which water is the most pervasive, alkaline water with a low ORP, alkaline water with a high ORP or acid water with a high ORP?

Let me first explain pH and ORP.

pH comes from French, and means "per Hydrogen", which is a measure of the amount of Hydrogen in a liquid. Why is this so important? Hydrogen is our most essential nutrient. Hydrogen provides our life force! And pH equals amount of hydrogen in liquid, so it's a measure of available life force in a liquid.
We can measure pH using litmus paper or an electronic pH meter. It will give us a reading of from 0 to 14, with pH 7 being neutral; neither acid nor alkaline. A pH lower than seven is acid, a pH above 7 is alkaline.

ORP means the O = Oxidizing or R = reducing or donating Potential of a liquid.
Oxidizing means the ability to oxidize, to burn up, to rust, to take away energy from the body.
Reducing means the opposite: to give or donate. If a liquid has 'reducing potential' it has the ability to donate energy to the body.
The ORP meter actually measures the electrical charge of the water and if it reads above zero, it's oxidizing (acidic and an ionic 'robber'). If the voltage is negative it's reducing (alkaline and a giver)!

Our body functions best if we drink water with a high pH (much life force) and a low ORP (giving energy). This video illustrates this scientific information very well.

The alkaline water with a low ORP is by far the most pervasive when soaking almonds in it. If this is true for the almonds, it must be true for our body. Our body can take up the most water and the most energy from the water, if it is alkaline with a low ORP.

How do you get alkaline water with a low ORP?
There are special water systems available, to make this water in own your kitchen
In the Netherlands they are for sale at Company4You.nl.

David Wolfe on seaweeds: kelp, nori, dulse, hiziki, arame, sea lettuce

This video is part of the interview, that Esmé and I from Raw Food Europe had with David Wolfe last September.
I asked David about minerals. Many people who live on a raw food diet or standard Western diet lack minerals.
What can you do to get more minerals in your diet?

Seaweeds are a very important source of minerals in the raw food diet. There are many edible seaweeds, like kelp, nori, dulse, hiziki, wakame, arame and sea lettuce. If you have never eaten them, try nori or dulse. Most people like them, even kids.

Joel Fuhrman M.D. - Nutrient density is the key to good health

In this video Joel Fuhrman speaks about the nutrient density of foods.
I think this is a very interesting concept. It clarifies a lot of things.
Why do so many vegans look grey and pale? Why are so many rawfoodies too thin?
What should you eat, if you don’t want to eat 100% raw?
These are questions I get all the time. Here is the answer!

Portion sized diets don’t work. We have to desire smaller portions. To do that we have to eat high nutrient, high volume foods. High volume foods are raw vegetables, fresh fruits, cooked greens and non-green vegetables.
You should know the nutrient density of foods. The food that is highest in nutrient density are green vegetables. Kale has the highest number, followed by collards, spinach and bok choi. Fruits and vegetables are all above 100. All the other foods are below.
Most people on a vegan diet get most of their calories from grains, potatoes and oil. That can’t be a healthy diet.

Joel Furhman doesn’t mention the superfoods in this video. Those are also high density foods. That’s why they are called superfoods. Examples are raw cacao, goji berries, maca, wild honey, bee pollen, hemp seed, spirulina, chlorella and green powders (from edible grasses). I also miss the edible weeds, sprouted seeds and seaweeds.
Some of these probably have a nutrient density above 1000 ;-)

A diet of raw vegetables, fresh fruits, edible weeds, sprouted seeds, seaweeds and superfoods is ideal, if you want to eat 100% raw plant based diet. If you want to add some cooked food, add cooked greens and non-green vegetables.

If you use the hyper farming techniques David Wolfe tells about to grow these foods, you have the best diet ever!

Food Matters, uncovering the sickness industry - Watch this film!

Food Matters is a brand new documentary film about diet and health, with the subtitle "uncovering the sickness industry". Watch it, you don't have to be sick!
To buy or see the film, go to http://www.foodmatters.tv/cmd.php?af=788807

Hippocrates: "Let thy Food be thy Medicine and thy Medicine be thy Food."

That's the message from the founding father of modern medicine, echoed in the controversial new documentary film 'Food Matters' from firsttime Producer-Directors James Colqhuoun and Laurentine ten Bosch.

"With nutritionally depleted foods, chemical additives and our tendency to rely upon pharmaceutical drugs to treat what's wrong with our malnourished bodies, it's no wonder that modern society is getting sicker. 'Food Matters' sets about uncovering the trillion dollar worldwide "Sickness Industry" and giving people some scientifically verifiable solutions for curing disease naturally." - James

And in what promises to be the most contentious idea put forward, the filmmakers have interviewed several world leaders in nutrition and natural healing who claim that not only are we harming our bodies with improper nutrition, but that the right kind of foods, supplements and detoxification can be used to treat chronic illnesses as fatal as terminally diagnosed cancer.

“Food Matters” is to be launched globally via the internet using full screen video technology.

Joel Fuhrman M.D. - You can cure diabetes with diet and lifestyle

Joel Fuhrman MD has cured hundreds of people of diabetes using diet and lifestyle. The American Diabetic Association wanted him to write an article about his work for their journal and offered him a check of $ 750,00. Doctor Fuhrman happily wrote the article. When the American Diabetic Association saw the contents of this article - people who cured completely of diabetes type 2 - they wanted him to adjust the article. Their journal is sponsored by Eli Lilly drug company, a pharmaceutical company that produces insulin. This company would not like the contents of the article. Joel Furhman didn't and the article was never published.

You can definitely cure diabetes type 2 with diet and lifestyle. Thousands of people are cured with the help of Gabriel Cousens, Brian and Anna Maria Clement, Ann Wigmore and so many others. I spoke to some of them in Israël, who were talking about a miracle that happened to them, after they changed their diet and lifestyle.

But ..... don't tell anybody it's possible to cure diabetes .... the pharmaceutical industry doesn't want us to know .... Shout it out ;-)

This is an excerpt from Dr. Furhman's presentation at the Healthy Lifestyle Expo 2007.

Raw food video: How to make raw vegan sushi and nori rolls

In this video, you can see the basics of making raw vegan sushi. Make sure to have the black nori sheets, they are raw. Some Asian stores sell green nori sheets, which are roasted. Instead of wasabi, you can take fresh horseradish, which is very similar to the main ingredient of wasabi and often used as a substitute. It has a strong flavor, so be careful. And buy raw natural nama shoyu, not the commercial kind.

Personally I add more things to the nut pâté, like fresh herbs, lemon and tomato. You can also use sprouts and edible weeds inside your sushi or nori roll. To close the noriroll, wet the seam with a little water. Press gently to make your roll firm enough to cut it into small slices. It´s a great idea to put it in the freezer for five minutes before slicing.

Enjoy your sushi!

David Wolfe on Ormus, the Light Body and Spirituality

David Wolfe tells about ormus, one of his favorite subjects.
He explains the connection with the light body and spirituality.
It made things much clearer to me.
Watch this interesting video and post your comments below if you like.

David Wolfe on hyper farming, using advanced natural technologies

In this video David Wolfe tells about his ideas on hyper farming, the ultimate farming using natural technologies like rock dust, sea salt, music and love. Technologies used by, amongst others, the great philosophers and scientists Hegel, Victor Schauberger and Rudolf Steiner.

I think this video is one of the best of this blog. David is telling exactly what I experience at the moment. After being on rawfood for some time, you want to go further. You start to eat more wild foods, superfoods and want to experiment growing your own superfoods, using traditional natural technologies. I’m experimenting with sea salt solutions on my sprouts and vegetables at the moment. David is taking it even further. And I do recognize the hyper synchronicities, he is talking about. They are happening all the time in my life and they sometimes even shock me.

David’s idea of being a flowist really appeals to me. When I was about 20, I was meditating in the Swiss Alps with Pir Vilayat, a Sufi master. I had the feeling though, that it was not right for me to be meditating on top of a mountain. I wanted to go out into the world and contribute to it's well being. That was the beginning of my worldwide search for the truth about health and diet.

David, I think you are brilliant,to show us that our possibilities are unlimited ;-)

Sprouting buckwheat, oats and sunflower seeds for raw granola

Sprouted buckwheat, oats and sunflower seeds form an excellent basis for raw granola. These seeeds are very easy to sprout. In this video Kevin and Anne Marie Gianni show you exactly how to do it.

Now is the time of year to sprout. In Chinese medicine spring is the time to eat a lot of sprouts, because the upward and growing forces of nature are the predominant energies right now. My house and garden are full of sprouts, that I grow with my kids. The kids love to water them and see them grow by the hour.

We add sprouts to all our dishes. With all the edible young weeds outside and our own sprouts we hardly need to buy any greens. Start experimenting. It's great fun!

The danger of cell phones, laptop computers, electromagnetic fields

In this video Brian Clement speaks about the dangers of cell phones, laptop computers and electromagnetic fields in general. It’s part of the raw food lecture Brian and Anna Maria Clement gave in Amsterdam, March 2008.

Be careful with cell phones. It’s best not to use them at all. If you do need one, don’t have it close to your body, but in a handbag or so. Use an earphone and a BioPro to protect your brains. In your car, use a car system, if you can afford it.

People don’t realize, but children get cell phones at a younger and younger age.
Research in Sweden has shown that kids, who use cell phones double their chance of getting blastic types of brain tumors by the time they are 20.
In Russia they did a study on 150 thousand children. They found that children below 16 who use cell phones on a regular basis up to one hour a week, between 21 and 28 years old get a 37 times higher incidence of brain cancer.

The same is true for laptop computers. Never put them on your nap.
Children get ovarian and testicle cancer nowadays, because of laptop computers. Imagine, you stick a high power radioactive battery on your penis or vagina. What do you think is going to happen?

Wall sockets are similar. They radiate about 2 square feet. Place your bed in a save place, if possible.

We don´t realize, but electromagnetic fields are everywhere around us nowadays. Keep them away from your body as much as possible.

Realize that cell phones, Ipods, BlackBerrie’s and laptop computers take away all your contemplative time. You are constantly stimulated from the outside.
Everybody needs this contemplative time. At the end it all comes back to you, self love and self respect.

Organic food versus conventional food, what is the difference?

I love this video by Kevin Gianni. It's really fun and shocking at the same time.
Why should you eat organic food instead of conventional? Are organic foods really better than conventional foods? Watch this video and see why ....

You'd think that with the scientific evidence that pesticides are harmful and organics have more nutrients than conventional foods that people would start switching over. But it's not the case. Almost all people still eat conventional foods.

Hopefully this video helps to convince people that eating organic food is really important. Kevin created a fantastic demonstration, that hopefully will change people's perspective on the importance of organic foods.

Brian Clement: raw food diet for cancer, diabetes and heart disease

Brian Clement tells about Ann Wigmore, who healed herself from colon cancer. She was told by her doctors, that she had only six months to live. Her grandmother taught her about natural health and the use of plants for healing, when she was a child. In her fifties Ann Wigmore decided she had no choise, but to start eating natural foods. She healed herself completely from colon cancer.

After this experience she felt, she had the obligation to teach the world about her experience. This is how the Hippocrates Health Institute started. Ever since thousands of people from all over the world have come to the Hippocrates Health Institute (nowadays in Florida) and healed themselves from cancer, diabetes, heart disease and other serious illnesses.

Throughout history the people who spread the light and came with great ideas were often considered odd, like many raw foodists nowadays. Modern research brings more and more evidence of the importance of a raw live-food diet. A great example is the "China Study" by Colin T. Campbell PhD, in which Colin Campbell proves that animal protein contributes directly to the different forms of cancer.

Dr. Barbara Hendel: how to make sole from Himalayan crystal salt

Dr. Barbara Hendel demonstrates how to make a sole drink from natural Himalayan ground salt or crystal salt and natural spring water for a daily energizing and detoxifying drink.

This sole drink is very easy to make. You dissolve Himalayan ground salt or crystal salt in good quality water. Use enough salt, so that there is still salt visible on the bottom. This way you make a sterile salt solution of 26% salt.

Take a teaspoon or half a teaspoon of this sole and mix it into a glass of good quality water. Drink this every morning on an empty stomach. This sole drink contains the energy of the sun (sole means sun in Latin) and is great to build up energy. It also helps your digestion and to detoxify.

You can take this sole every morning for six weeks or two months, stop for a while and start again. You will feel much better and have more energy.

David Wolfe: Our ultimate goal is to create heaven on earth

What is our ultimate goal? To create paradise or heaven on earth. To work with the earth, not against it. To make it a better place than it was originally. The goal is not just raw food or any other diet, but to rectify all our wrongs by making this world a better environment. The missing link in all success technology is this ultimate goal.

Forget that you will ever know everything. It is impossible. You either know nothing about everything or everything about nothing. That’s the beginning of all wisdom. You can’t explain why a spring comes out of the mountain, but you can benefit from it. That's the most important.

Annet:
My grandpa used to say: If you don't feel it, I can't explain it.
We have forgotten to feel what is going on with ourselves and with our planet.
Feeling brings us closer to the truth than thinking.

Victoria Boutenko makes raw almond milk, an easy raw food recipe

Victoria Boutenko makes raw almond milk. In this video you see, how fast and easy it goes. Going to the store to buy soy, rice, nut or cows milk takes a whole lot longer and is much more expensive. A Vitamix (or any other blender) full with fresh almond milk costs you about 50 cents.

You can keep this nut milk in the fridge for about two days.
Instead of almonds, you can use sunflower seeds, macadamia's, cashews, walnuts, sesame seeds or any other kind of nut or seed. It is best to soak nuts overnight or at least four hours before you use them. This makes them easier to digest. Throw away the soaking water.

The leftover pulp from the nuts is great in salads, desserts, pies, dehydrated crackers or smoothies. You can also make seed cheese from it.
