Yes, we have young coconuts from Thailand again. We love them.
You can drink the liquid and make (for instance) porridge from the meat.
Open the coconuts with a butchers knife or axe.
Drink the liquid with a straw.
Scoop the meat out with a spoon or ice spoon.
Put this in the blender with ½ cup warm water and 2 dates or some agave.
You get a fantastic nourishing porridge.
Sprinkle some cinnamon over your porridge and enjoy!
Coconuts are very alkalizing. They are very good for general health.
In Surinam they were used traditionally for asthma.
I heard that a mixture of coconut and wheatgrass juice could even be used as a blood transfusion.
In Chinese Medicine coconut is considered a sweet warming food. It produces fluids, relieves thirst, constipation, sunstroke, fever, vomiting and edema. It is used against diabetes, to destroy intestinal parasites to prevent premature aging.
You can buy young Thai coconuts at Chinese ( wholesale) supermarkets.
