Sun gazing, Hira Ratan Manek on the healing power of the sun

Hira Ratan Manek (HRM) teaches sun gazing, how we can live on just the energy of sunlight and water. He has eaten solid food just five to seven times in the last 10 years. He once fasted under 24-hour medical supervision for more than 200 consecutive days.

Sun gazing is an ancient practice found in all cultures. It activates the dormant human brain. The infinite resources within us get activated. Save sunlight reaches the brain through the eyes and the brain's effectiveness is raised. The practitioner cures all his problems and gets total health for mind, body and spirit.

If you want to start sun gazing, study it carefully. If the sunlight is too bright you might damage your eyes. The save hours are the first hour after sunrise en the last hour before sunset.

Watch the website www.SolarHealing.com for more information on sun gazing.

David Wolfe on hyper farming, using advanced natural technologies

In this video David Wolfe tells about his ideas on hyper farming, the ultimate farming using natural technologies like rock dust, sea salt, music and love. Technologies used by, amongst others, the great philosophers and scientists Hegel, Victor Schauberger and Rudolf Steiner.

I think this video is one of the best of this blog. David is telling exactly what I experience at the moment. After being on rawfood for some time, you want to go further. You start to eat more wild foods, superfoods and want to experiment growing your own superfoods, using traditional natural technologies. I’m experimenting with sea salt solutions on my sprouts and vegetables at the moment. David is taking it even further. And I do recognize the hyper synchronicities, he is talking about. They are happening all the time in my life and they sometimes even shock me.

David’s idea of being a flowist really appeals to me. When I was about 20, I was meditating in the Swiss Alps with Pir Vilayat, a Sufi master. I had the feeling though, that it was not right for me to be meditating on top of a mountain. I wanted to go out into the world and contribute to it's well being. That was the beginning of my worldwide search for the truth about health and diet.

David, I think you are brilliant,to show us that our possibilities are unlimited ;-)

Jasmuheen on New Age Raw Food Kids

This video is great. Jasmuheen, who lives on prana and not on real foods, raises the question what is nutrition really is. Is there a source of nourishment that people can tap into, that will eliminate all their hungers; their physical, emotional, mental and spiritual hunger?

And what about the kids being born at this moment. It seems that a new generation is being born, of kids that come to earth to bring love. They don’t need heavy diets, they prefer to have just fruits. Parents and grandparents from all over the world are reporting this. These kids live in a theta brain frequency most of the time, a meditative state, in which you don't need heavy foods.

There is a difference between living on prana and anorexia. Anorexia is a lack of self love or some other or health issue. It’s not a state of perfect health. To live purely on prana, you have to be very healthy on all levels; physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.

There are different sources of nourishment; physical food and prana. What doctors say about food is true for people living in beta frequency brainwaves. In this frequency you need real food, otherwise you will die. Once you start meditating and reach alpha and theta frequencies, your physiology changes. Once your brainwaves and lifestyle change into a more or less permanent theta frequency, the physiology of your body starts to operate in a different way.

I'd be interested in your comments. Let me know, if you are experiencing similar things. Do you have kids of this new loving and fruit-eating generation in your environment?

Greens and Raw Food for the Best Acid Alkaline Balance

Interview with Mark Galvin on:
- greens, the importance of greens for the right acid alkaline balance in the body
- what are the benefits of raw food
- enzymes, vitamins and minerals in raw uncooked food
- the dairy conspiracy
- mucoid plaque
- vegan bodybuilding and quality protein

Our diet should be 80% alkaline and 20% acid. The diet of most people is 70% acid and 30% alkaline. Greens make the body alkaline. Barley grass is very good for alkalizing, so is chlorella. On a daily basis eat plenty of greens in your diet. Fresh salads and uncooked food contain a lot more enzymes, vitamins and minerals, than cooked foods. In a warmer climate it's easy to live on a live food diet, in colder climates, you need warmer foods. But always add a lot of salads to your (raw food) diet.
You can also add wild plants. They are great for alkalizing. Examples are stinging nettle, hawthorn and dandelion. Stinging nettle is an anti-inflammatory and it cleans the blood. Hawthorn is great for the hart. Dandelion is a diuretic. Make a soup of them and drink it.
The vegan raw food diet has plenty of good quality protein. This protein is unprocessed and undamaged and the body can use it. There is a vegan world champion bodybuilder at the moment. He is a wonderful example. He eats plenty of everything and it is all vegan.
Dairy products are very mucous forming, fattening and causing heart disease. Pasteurising destroys all the enzymes in dairy. Our dairy products have changed a lot over the past 20 years.

How to Start a Raw Food Diet

Over the past few days, I got many questions on how to start a raw food diet. Many people hear about raw food, want to give it a try, but don’t know where to start or what to do.

I get questions like: “Do you eat just salads”. I’m hungry all the time, what can I do?
To make things clear, I’ll explain some things first.
A raw food diet is a diet, consisting of food, not heated above 115 degrees Fahrenheit. And there are many ways of preparation, except for cooking, that you can do under this temperature. Take a look at the recipes on the blog and you will get an idea.
The raw food diet consists of natural organic fresh plant based food. Many people’s first reaction is “Salads!”, but there are many more things you can eat raw. Think about fruits, nuts, seeds, seaweeds, beans, grains, and not to forget superfoods. Superfoods are also plant based natural foods, the ones with a high nutrient density. Usually they have a long history as a natural medicine or as a longevity food. Examples are: raw cacao, maca, goji berries, spirulina, chlorella, bee pollen, noni, ginger, garlic and ginseng.

If you start with raw food, take your time. Your body is used to certain foods and it causes a lot of stress to change everything overnight. Yes, if you have a strong will power or if you are very sick, you can change right away. In most cases I don’t recommend this. Your body starts to detox fast, which makes it more difficult. By taking your time, the detoxing happens more naturally overtime.
By taking your time, you raw food adventure will turn into a big success.

Seven Steps to Raw Food Success:
1 Drink enough good quality water in between meals.
2 Add a lot of fruits to your diet, best before or as a breakfast and in between meals.
3 Add a salad to your lunch and dinner, best at the beginning. Eat normal afterwards. The food you chose to eat after your salad will change by itself overtime, don’t worry,
4 Buy some superfoods and start to experiment. Take one superfood smoothie a day (the recipe is on the blog). This is a great way, to add extra nutrients to your diet.
5 Stop eating sugar. Take fruits combined with nuts instead. By taking them together, the sugar of the fruits is more slowly absorbed by your body.
6 Stop to eat packaged, canned and fast food with artificial and chemical colorings, flavorings, preservatives and bad quality fats.
7 Keep studying diet. Buy good books or look for good information on the internet. Continuous learning will make it much easier overtime.

I don’t add addictions like coffee, smoking, alcohol and drugs to this list. Of course they need to be addressed, to get really healthy. Starting to eat raw food will also help to quit these additions. I will write another article about this later.

You can also use the approach mentioned, if you want to lose weight. Focus on superfoods, fresh vegetables, fruits, seaweeds and some nuts and seeds. I put superfoods in the first place here on purpose. Many people have cravings, because of deficiencies. By adding superfoods, you solve these deficiencies naturally overtime. This way staying on your raw food diet becomes much easier and great fun.

Once you are getting used to your new diet, don’t forget to add soaked nuts and seeds. They are a very important source of essential fatty acids and energy.

To Your Raw Food Success!

Organic Raw Maca for Energy and Hormones

Organic raw maca (Lepidium Meyenii) is an ancient superfood, used by the people of South Amerika since 5000 years, for both energy and hormonal balance. Maca is a root vegetable, like radish and grows at 14,500 ft above sealevel in the highlands of Peru. It is handpicked by the local people, which are wellknown for their stamina and fertility.

Maca is often used for problems during menopause, menstrual difficulties, male impotence, osteoporose, chronic fatigue, and depression.

Maca for women
Maca enhances overall energy. It helps with natural hormonal rejuvenation by encouraging human glands to produce estrogen, progesterone and testosterone hormones. Because it balances the hormones it eliminates hot flashes, night sweating and other symptoms during menopauze and it increases general strength and sexual drive.
Having a lot of energy and balancing hormones is very important for women. Many women have energy and hormonal problems nowadays. Because of this or to avoid this, introducing the superfood maca to your diet is always a good idea.

Maca for men
Maca is also used by the men in South America sinces ages. Also for men it enhances general energy and induces testosterone production, which increases libido and boosts sexual drive.
In many of the natural supplements for libido, that we find in the healthfood stores and natural pharmacies nowadays, maca is one of the main ingredients. By adding maca to your diet, viagra with all it's side effects, is no longer necessary in many cases. Maca, often combined with other herbs ad superfoods, can be used as a natural Viagra.

A good way to eat maca is to add it to your smoothies. Just one or two teaspoons will do. Don't add too much in the beginning, because maca has a strong taste. You can add a little more, once you are used to the taste.

What is a live-food diet?

A raw diet consists of food that is not heated above 115 degrees Fahrenheit (46 degrees Celsius). It consists of foods in their natural state or close to their natural state.

What does “live” have to do with this? Live-food is food full of life force. Fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds from your garden are live-foods. So are freshly picked seaweeds, natural spring water and sprouted seeds from seeds, nuts, beans, grains and vegetables. The fresher the food, the more alive and the more energy it has. The more energy it has, the more energy it can give to you.

Pictures taken with Kirlian photography clearly show this life force. This life force is the same as prana or chi in eastern philosophies. Modern science is able to measure this energy nowadays.
If you compare commercially grown food with organic food, the organic food has much more of this life force than the commercial food. Wild plants have even more.

For all our bodily processes we need energy. Without energy life stops. If you have too little energy, you get sick. So … to turn around the negative spiral of sickness, make sure to get more energy by eating a raw live-food diet, full of energy.

The most important source of energy on earth is the sun. Sunlight is transformed by plants into energy we can use. Some people can live on sunlight alone, but this is very exceptional. Plants are the next best source of energy for us. The more energy the plant has, the more energy it can give you. This is the whole concept of a raw live-food diet.

Health Benefits of Good Quality Structured Water

Video thumbnail. Click to play
Click To Play

Last November Esmé and I went to Israel to interview Gabriel Cousens. This is part of these interviews. More will be available soon.

Drinking good quality water is the key to a healthier and longer life. We are made mainly out of water.
Water is essential for all cellular and bodily functions.
Water helps to keep the blood thin, so that it can flow well.
Water is important for the elimination of toxins.
Water helps the body to metabolize stored fat and therefore to lose excess weight.
Water helps to relieve constipation.
Water suppresses appetite.
And water does many more things in the body.

Listen to Gabriel Cousens on how he creates the best quality drinking water:
"Because of all the pollution in the world, the best water is distilled water. But distilled water by itself is aggressive and immature. I out a formula in the book “Spiritual Nutrition”. You take a gallon of distilled water, add a pinch of salt or 12 drops of active ionic, so that you get 50 parts per million. This way you create H3O, the best water there is. With 50 parts per million, you don’t have the aggressive pulling out of minerals out of the body.
Then you structure this water by putting it out in the moonlight overnight. The moon structures water, not the sun. Then you bless it and you have good quality water. Crystal energy from micro crystals is also very good to structure it.
So first you heat the water and take out all the herbicides and pesticides, and destroy all the homeopathic pattern of the herbicides and pesticides. Then you restructure the water with salt, crystal energy, moonlight and by blessing it."

Personally I think that natural spring water is also a good quality water, if you can find a natural spring in the neighborhood. It's pure and alive, full of energy. Look at the power in a natural spring. This structured water sounds as a fantastic alternative though, if you life in the city or have no natural springs in the area.

Raw Food Five Element Smoothie

Ingrediënts:

1 peeled lemon
sweet fruit
1 teaspoon krystal salt brine solution
pinch of cayenne pepper
1 cup pure water
1 or 2 tablespoons flax oil

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), there are five tastes: sweet, sour, pungent, salt and bitter. Every taste corresponds to certain processes in the body.

Sweet belongs to the earth element, corresponding to the stomach and spleen.
Sour belongs to the wood element, corresponding to the gallbladder and liver.
Pungent belongs to the metal element, corresponding to the colon and lungs.
Salt belongs to the water element, corresponding to the bladder and kidney's.
Bitter belongs to the fire element, corresponding to the small intestines and heart.

This smoothie recipe contains all five tastes. Bananas are sweet, lemon is sour, cayenne is pungent, the crystal salt brine solution is salt, flax oil is bitter. The blue green algae, that go with this smoothie, are bitter as well.
By combining the five elements in your dishes or meals, the flow of life energy (Chi) in the body is strengthened.

What Can a Raw Food Diet Do for You?

Some of you are already very familiar with a raw food diet and some of you may be totally new to it. Here I will explain a a little about raw food and how to introduce it into your diet. If you know a lot already, maybe you can find some helpful information to get friends and family started.

Why rawfood?
Of course there are many theoretical answers to this question, that you can find everywhere. But my best answer to this question is always: try it for one week and see what happens. For most people, there is no return afterwards. If you are not used to eating any raw food, try adding some fresh fruits and vegetables to every meal. For instance fruits for breakfast, and an extra salad with greens, tomato's, avocado's, cucumber and fresh herbs for both your lunch and dinner. In the meantime avoid chemicals and preservatives as much as possible, and take less sugar, coffee and alcohol. Just try this raw food diet for a week and feel the difference.

A mistake which is often made, is changing too quickly to a different diet. The body starts to detox very fast with a lot of trouble, that could be avoided. Changing slower is always easier and causes less stress to the body. If you want to go faster because you have a certain health challenge, make sure to have the appropriate medical support.

I know that there are people, who just want to use supplements as quick fixes and don't want to bother with raw food or special diets. To those people I want to say: It's not just what you add to your diet, that makes the difference, but what you eat on a daily basis and (very important) what you don't eat. Just adding artificial supplements (whatever you call them, supplements made up a different vitamins and mineral are artificial) is not comparable to eating a good diet with a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables and avoiding "all the bad stuff".

Yes, you can feel better by adding supplements, but until you try a natural raw food diet with a lot of fresh organic vegetables and fruits, you don't know what you are missing. There is a difference between feeling good and feeling super energetic and happy. Of course feeling super not only depends on your diet. There are many other important factors like exercise, balancing your emotions, good relationships with your friends and family, spiritual practise, and doing what you really love. But a good diet can make a huge difference. And I know what I'm talking about, having much more energy for my four children, my a household, my a business and all the rest, since I eat a raw food diet.

For now I would say, try it! Add more fruits and green vegetables to your diet and feel fantastic! If you are already doing this: great! For the longterm rawfoodists amongst us, make sure to include enough green vegetables.

Have a fantastic day!

Nutrients in Raw Food and Cooked Food

This is a video everybody should see. Storm Talifero compares the amount of nutrients in raw food compared to the amount in cooked food. It's really convincing. A raw apple pie has a much greater nutrient density than a cooked apple pie. It's easier and faster to make a raw pie. So ... why bother to bake it any longer.

David Wolfe: Raw Food Diet for Success

David Wolfe explains how your personal mission and values will help guide you to success in diet, health, and life.

Being on your mission creates vibrant health. You need the right nutrition to support you on your mission. This way you can never be sick again, work as much as you want, have an infinite amount of energy and inspire always.

What is your mission? That what feels good. Your mission is what you love to do more than anything, even if you don't get paid for it. If you do what feels good, you are guided all the way to paradise. If you do what feels bad, you will be guided to hell. That what it is all about.

Line up your food with your destiny. What you put in your mouth is sacred. It's the basis of your thinking. Attention goes, where energy flows. If you change your food, you will change your thinking and level of consciousness. Your values will change. All you have to know is your destination.

Come out of dogmatism as far as food is concerned. Your food is sacred. Get rid of guild, fear, shame. Laughter heals, loves heals, food filled with light heals, food that is fun to eat heals.

This is what Raw Food Success is all about!
