The importance of natural digestive enzymes in a raw food diet

Dina Khader speaks about the importance of natural digestive enzymes in the raw food diet. Natural digestive enzymes in our food are essential for good health. If we cook our food, we kill the enzymes and it becomes much harder to digest. By cooking our food, we stress the pancreas, which has to produce the enzymes to digest cooked foods. If we eat a raw food diet, we get plenty of enzymes with our food. This makes the food easier to digest and even builds a buffer of enzymes in our pancreas. Most people don't eat enough raw food. Sometimes a supplement of digestive enzymes can be helpful for a while, while you transition to a raw food diet.
